Richard Klein founded Quixotic Systems in 1999, and he oversees the Company’s operations and finances. Richard has been a NYSERDA Eligible Installer since 2006. He is OSHA 10 certified.
Richard is also a seed- and early-stage investor in alternative energy technology and service companies. He has successfully guided start-up companies on advancing their technologies, identifying markets, and managing their growth. Richard leverages his deep knowledge of new products and technologies on Quixotic Systems’ projects. He has served on the boards of a wide variety of renewable energy companies.
Richard holds four patents related to solar energy. He received a Bachelor of Arts in philosophy from Colgate University and he pursued postgraduate studies in mathematics and physics at Columbia University. He has a certificate in boilers and plumbing studies from New York City College of Technology and he studied solar design in Colorado at Solar Energy International. He is fluent in German and French, proficient in Italian, and he studies Latin for fun.
